The sauce is thick and has a coconut-like texture, making it especially delicious when paired with sliced Tipat Blayag, fried chicken feet, soybeans, shredded chicken, urap vegetables, and chicken skin crackers.
Tipat Blayag is easily found in the Singaraja area. Several restaurants and eateries in Kuta and Denpasar also offer this unique dish.

This is a Balinese specialty popular in the Gianyar region. Nasi Tepeng is characterized by its soft, porridge-like texture. It’s served with a blend of authentic Balinese spices, typically with a strong, spicy flavor.

Ayam Betutu is made from free-range chicken. The entrails are removed and then stuffed with spices. The spiced chicken is then wrapped in banana leaves and grilled over charcoal husks. The grilling process can take up to 24 hours to produce a savory, tender Ayam Betutu with a deeper penetration of the spices.
You can try the deliciousness of Ayam Betutu in the Gilimanuk area, such as “Rumah Makan Ayam Betutu Liku” or Rumah Makan Ayam Betutu Men Tempeh”.
Lawar Kuwir, Minced Duck Meat

Lawar is a Balinese specialty made from minced meat and various vegetables, seasoned with Balinese spices. The minced meat used for lawar is usually pork. However, as an alternative for those who don’t eat pork, the minced meat has been replaced with Kuwir (Muscovy duck). This has led to the increasingly popular dish, Lawar Kuwir.
The duck meat is usually minced first, then mixed with chopped vegetables. Grated coconut is then added to the mixture and finally coated with Balinese spices. Lawar Kuwir is best served with warm white rice and Sate Lilit, fried peanuts, shredded Ayam Betutu, and vegetables made from banana stems or jukut ares.
